CharMrs. Charlotte Marchant

Charlotte Marchant qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1983 from Manchester Royal Infirmary.

I have immense experience in rehabilitation, specialising in the musculoskeletal field. I am Health Professional registered and an accredited member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

I registered as a provider of physiotherapy with all the major Private Health Insurance Companies, e.g. Bupa, AXA/PPP, Norwich Union, Cigna etc. and a registered Associate of many Medico-legal Companies, providing physiotherapy treatment and expert reports.

I have been involved in the pioneer and development of several services within the Primary Care setting. This has included developing and streamlining the patient self - referral pathway into the out-patient physiotherapy and being a strategic member of the multi-disciplinary team in the pilot project for the falls prevention service within the Warrington area.

I have a particular interest in Acquired Brain Injuries and their rehabilitation needs and I joined a team of clinicians in 2004 at the Transitional Rehabilitation Unit based in Haydock, Merseyside.

Since qualifying I have undertaken a range of further educational activities including formal learning by attendance on numerous physiotherapy courses, work based learning and self-directed learning.
This has enabled me to ensure that my practice is of high quality, reflective, evidence-based and evaluative, providing the most effective delivery of service to clients, e.g. through the production of patient information sheets and the development of treatment plans based on best available evidence.

As a Physiotherapist, my key role is to effectively use my skills to assess, diagnose and recognize the

rehabilitation potential within our clients, demonstrate flexibility and the ability to respond to changing needs and progress treatment programmes.

I possess a genuine enthusiasm for my work which continually drives my professional development and I find working in the field of Physiotherapy immensely rewarding.
